Biography

Talisha brings over a decade of experience at the intersection of law, healthcare, and business operations, with a specialized focus on healthcare compliance, privacy, risk management, negotiations, and contracting. She currently serves as Director of Vendor Contracting at Proliance Surgeons, one of the largest healthcare specialty groups in Washington State, where she oversees complex contracting processes and leads strategic technology implementation and management efforts.

Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), Talisha has built a distinguished career ensuring operational excellence and regulatory adherence across healthcare organizations. Her leadership includes responsibility for on-the-job education of new and existing staff and the administration of Proliance’s summer graduate internship and legal externship programs—initiatives she developed to mentor and prepare the next generation of business and legal professionals.

Before entering the healthcare sector, Talisha gained invaluable legal and business experience working with various public defender offices, including those in Orleans Parish, Baton Rouge, and San Diego, as well as the Louisiana House of Representatives, FDIC, and various CPA firms. These roles helped shape her deep understanding of business, public interest law, and legislative processes.

Talisha holds undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Marketing from Southern University and A&M College, one of the nation’s most historically significant HBCUs. She earned her Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center, one of the first law schools established to serve minority students.

She is passionate about legal education and brings a practical, systems-oriented perspective to the classroom, informed by real-world leadership in the evolving field of healthcare, business, and law.
